Dave Cornthwaite | Storytelling, Being Selfish and The Power of Community
Dave is an adventurer, speaker and community leader.
In 2006 he skateboarded across Australia which began his Expedition 1000 quest with the goal of completing 25 1,000 mile journeys on non-motorised transport. He’s also the founder of the YesTribe, a community of more than 10,000 people around the world. Amongst many other things he’s written 3 books and also hosts the Self Propelled podcast.
He is now working on his next big project, Big Sky Hideaway, a glamping and events space powered by renewables and community.
And that’s just scratching the surface…
Dave’s lived a fascinating life and this episode delves into a few of the incredible things he’s done.
From starting Expedition 1000 to his current adventures with Big Sky Hideaway, he’s learned a thing or two about living a happy life and the many aspects that go into running a successful business.
However, his take is far from the norm, and his experiences have moulded a refreshing view of how you should approach things like marketing, managing a team or dealing with significant challenges.
